Description: Here is another of the iconic Auböck designs for a nutcracker. This well documented model incorporates his very early screw down nutcracker with a wood bowl to hold the nuts. We have seen two different versions of this model produced, one with a straight down screw in brass and the other like this with an earlier chrome finish angled screw. This example is identical to an example from the collection of Clemons Kois and sold by Patrick Parrish. Unmarked but guaranteed authentic.
