Description: Here is another famous Carl Auböck III design for a paperweight in the form of an oversized double edged razor blade.  This was marketed in the Auböck sales catalogs as the For a Real Cutup and the For Sharpies paperweight, which came in boxes with those names appearing on the top.  These were made in both polished brass and in chrome over brass finishes and are still being produced today.  A very well documented design in the Archives.  Signed as shown with the impressed Auböck mark.

This example is a more modern production that we are dating to the late 1990s since this was purchased at that time at Barneys in New York City along with the other version we have on offer in the polished chrome finish.  Although from the 1990s, it is soon to be officially vintage.  We will entertain reasonable offers if you are interested in the pair.
