Description: Here is another famous Carl Auböck III design for a desk accessory paperweight as an oversized double edged razor blade.  This was marketed in the Auböck catalogs as the For a Real Cutup and the For Sharpies paperweight, which came in boxes with those names.  These were made in both polished brass and in chrome over brass finishes and are still be produced today.  Very well documented in the Archives.  Signed as shown with the impressed Auböck mark.

This example is a more modern production that we are dating to the late 1990s since this was purchased at that time at Barneys in New York City along with the other version we have on offer in the polished brass finish.  Although from the 1990s, it will soon be officially vintage.  We will entertain reasonable offers on the pair if you are interested in both.
