Curtis Jere or C. Jeré was a metalworking company of sculptures and decorative household accessories such as mirrors and bookends.Curtis Jere works were made and marketed by the corporation Artisan House, which was founded in 1963 by the brother-in-law’s Curtis Freiler and Jerry Fels. The name Curtis Jere is a compound of their names. Freiler and Fels combined pieces of their own names to create the C. Jeré signature. Freiler was the production chief and Fels was head of design. Fels and Freiler sold Artisan House in 1972 and the works thereafter were made overseas.
