Description: A very rare pair of Hagenauer sugar tongs shaped as a Parrot or a Pelican, most likely designed by Karl Hagenauer.  These are well documented and can be found on the Hagenauer official website which calls it a parrot. This is typical of their highly stylized designs of animals. Marked on the bottom of the base with the correct “Hagenauer Wien” and “Made in Austria” impressed marks, as shown. We have only seen one other come into the market.
