Condition: Excellent. Very very light surface scratches from polishing. Retains its original black insert backing card for the photo, but it is missing its original glass. Upon request, and for a small fee, we can have a piece of replacement glass cut for this frame.

Description: Another important early design for Swid Powell, the Ana Frame came in four versions; the Large, the Medium, the Small and the Mini. The Medium is similar to the Small which had a round photo insert with square feet and the Medium with an oval photo insert with round feet. This Medium version of the frame with the round feet is pictured on page 73 in the Tapert book, and is harder to find. The smaller version with square feet are more prevalent and we have handled several examples over the years and see them in the marketplace. However, we have only seen three other examples of this version ever come to market, and this one is in exceptionally fine condition, even retaining its original black insert backing card. Meier’s designs for Swid Powell are in many major museum collections.
