Description: The information available from reliable sources is this nutcracker was designed by Poul Knudsen of Denmark.  We have seen this nutcracker sold by a number of well-respected dealers listed as a genuine Carl Auböck design and manufacture, but it is really in the style of an earlier Auböck design.  Auböck's design does not have brass notched nut holder and used two different woods for the handles.  This is a very large, heavy and functional object that feels great in your hands.
